I love you my Katie. I never knew I could love like I loved you or feel so much love from such a little girl. You helped me through a lot. I miss you soooo much. I am so sorry that you became ill. I did everything I could. I will see you soon. Buster misses you too.
Love you my sweetheart.

Our beloved 'Schmooze' went to the Bridge just shy of her 15th birthday. She was a classic dachshund: totally devoted to her Dogfather, not very housebroken, addicted to 'doggy crack' (treats), and cat poo. She was also exceptional - when she was younger, she ended up in our neighbours' yard repeatedly. My neighbour thought her daughters were letting her in, until we both stood there and watched this weiner dog climb the fence like a ladder. Unbelievable. We miss her.

It seems like only yesterday that you came into my life. I am so grateful you allowed me to be part of yours. Eighteen years is a long time, but it wouldn't have mattered if it was only one year. You taught me, my ex-wife, and daughter patience, love, caring, understanding, and so much more. I miss you so much but mostly miss you sleeping under the covers with me, crawling under my shirt for a nap, asking me for a belly and back rub and a pig's ear. Having spaghetti and meatballs or scrambled eggs will never be the same without you. I love you Dixie. Thank you for everything.
