Fritz Fenwick - August 2008, 16 years, 3 months old
Now that my journey is over, I thank you from the bottom of my heart that when the time came for me to say good bye you were there with me on my biggest adventure of all - hugging me, kissing me, telling me that all would be well. Oh, how can I ever thank you for understanding it was time for me to go and for letting me go - even though I saw your many tears - and for making certain that I would go gently, oh so gently, while I nestled in Papa's arms like I had done a thousand times before - and then, I fell asleep. Oh thank you for those final moments. I tried my best to be a loving, faithful hound all my life. And you, my dear, dear family, you were the best! No dog could ever wish for more. And thank you at the very end for scattering my ashes high on the Sparks Lake trail in the Cascades near Mt Bachelor where the soft wind in the trees, the snow capped mountains, and the sweet smell in the air of pine trees will forever remind us all of the beauty and specialness of the life we knew together. Oh, I love you each one so very much. I will always and forever live with you in the garden of your hearts! Your loving dog, Fritz
